My 83-year-old dad taking the helm off Isla Del Carmen. Minutes after this photo was taken, we followed a pod of 300 or so dolphins, saw a massive blue whale, caught a shark, and ran out of gas. Details on this and the rest of our first two months in Loreto coming this weekend. I promise!
Well that’s how many we’re going to cover if the good Lord’s willing and the creek don’t rise. I hear Ecuador has bigger mountains and better beaches though.
Another of those little ‘impediments to progress’ as we prepare for departure in October. Still, we remind ourselves–and each other–that a solid month back in the States each summer is a pretty good substitute for 8 or 10 quick visits a year (crammed around work, bills, laundry, grocery shopping, yard work, client schmoozing, car maintenance, and so on).
